Affiliate Programs

Affiliate Programs are a great way to earn money from your blog or website. Very few of them cater to the Hip Hop generation or have retailers that sell Hip Hop related items. Here are a few programs that I have been an affiliate with over the past few years.

Pepper Jam Network Pepperjam Network

Pepper Jam is new and they carry the most popular Hip Hop related clothing lines. Many of these retailers left Commission Junction to be managed by Pepper Jam Network.

  1. Deréon
  2. AppleBottoms
  3. Roca Wear
  4. Baby Phat
  5. PhatFarm.com
  6. Encye
  7. Iced Out Gear
  8. Phunk Fashions

Commission Junction, Linkshare Google Network (formerly Connect Commerce) are the largest affiliate networks. However, they have very connections to Hip Hop/Urban retailers.

Bannerreviews.com has great infomation on the banner affiliate programs.

These are the top performing ad networks on the internet. You can click on the star next to the name to read our detailed review or click their name to sign up directly and get started. The sooner you sign up, the more money you could be earning.

The Best of the Best

Casalemedia – Easily the best banner network currently in the business. A generous 70% payout and reliable on time payments make this is an easy choice to join and should be on the top of your list. Casalemedia pays on a CPM basis, meaning they pay you each time an ad is shown from their network. They have an excellent reporting system and reliable ad serving.

Brand New

Motive Interactive is a very promising lead based and cpm based hybrid network.

Performancing is blog centric, and claims to be the largest 125×125 (the preferred size for blogs) ad marketplace that’s offering easy money for bloggers. Advertisers are welcome too, you get $25 off your first $100 ad spend.

Ad Marketplaces

Ad Markets offer a self serve system that brings publishers and advertisers together while taking a small commission.

Adbrite – The largest and certainly one of the best well known ad marketplaces is a great place to start with to start selling ad space, and advertising your own site to expand it’s popularity.

AdToll – While not as old and established as Adbrite, AdToll more than makes up for it with a very fast user interface and intuitive options.

Bidvertiser – Another relatively new marketplace type network to the scene, they offer predominately text based links.

Widget Based Networks

Widget based banner ad networks offer interactive ‘widget’ ads that engage your visitors.

Chitika – The original widget based network and most likely the first blog oriented network has been around for a while.

ShoppingAds – Originally named AuctionAds, they presented an innovative widget style ad that featured eBay auctions. A good choice for some product oriented blogs, especially video game sites.

Widgetbucks – Among the best of widget based ad networks, they created a very compelling ad widget that performs well for product oriented blogs.

Lead Based Networks

A wide variety of offers that pay whenever an action is completed, be it a sale, email submit, or more. Great for certain applications and also for search engine marketing arbitrage.

Neverblueads – Our personal favorite for a lot of reasons. For one, they really understand and work with publishers. They have simply the best affiliate interface in the industry, bar none. A wide variety of stats and a custom written interface that’s a joy to use.

Marketleverage – A new lead based network wants your business. They produce a weekly video highlighting the weeks top 5 offers and really want to succeed in the lead based marketplace.

PepperjamNetwork – New on the scene, from the famous web marketing company Pepperjam, they have offers and a very publisher-centric network that is a treasure trove of offers you won’t find anywhere else.

AzoogleAds – The largest of lead based networks, they have many offers and a good interface to round it off.

Affiliate Programs

AllPosters – A great example of what a general affiliate program should be. An easy to sell product (posters), free content to use on your site, and a great interface to match.
